Employee Appreciation

NC State celebrated its employees last week with an Employee Appreciation event at historic Reynolds Coliseum! Organizations from both inside and outside the university set up tables to share information in support of all employees. A fine turkey lunch along with Howling Cow ice cream was enjoyed by those attending and the Faculty & Staff Ombuds Office joined the fun! A line of people came by the table and picked up office brochures, posters, and some NC State swag (provided by the NC State Staff Senate – Thanks!)

Many people were not aware of ombuds services and it was great to spend a few moments with folks to let them know about the office.  In short, the ombuds role is designed to help people navigate their workplace experience. It’s a service to supplement and enhance existing services. In short, it’s to help empower people to consider and then decide whether and what to do about workplace concerns. It’s about supporting NC State employees and the university in its efforts to become extraordinary. It’s about supporting the wolf and the wolfpack!
