Ombuds Day 2020

This Thursday, October 8th, is Ombuds Day 2020!

A day to celebrate ombuds and their work to help people and organizations engage with and solve problems! Today’s ombuds is a trusted navigator, helps empower people to make decisions, connects people with resources, and coaches them through conflict. Ombuds are guided by standards of practice and ethical principles establishing an ombuds office as independent, confidential, informal and impartial.

At NC State, we have ombuds services to support all faculty and staff (Roy Baroff) and students (Mike Giancola). We invite you to celebrate with us on Thursday and here’s NC Governor Cooper’s official proclamation for Ombuds Day 2020.
